Though I find it hard to believe that's what's causing posts not to be picked up today, I appreciate Paul's sentiment -- I struggled with this at first. The faq is useful to address this currently, but you have to go looking for it.

Better tags would also lead to clearer labels in badges. In the rare occasions when a popular song is not tagged well, it's hard to tell what song it is from the badge. Given that -- a tutorial would be a great idea! (See, it's still on topic!)

I think I'd be worth while to do a post on how to tag mp3's posted on blogs in order to get the Hype Machine to index them. Like the one on elbo.ws. Helped me out loads and I know a few bloggers who have been frustrated when the Hype Machine doesnt pick up their MP3's.

This is pretty cool. Thanks for the continued good work on extras and peripherals.

That said, and I hate to have to say it this way, I also think that while new functionality is great, core services need to come first. Announcing a new way to do banners in the midst of a timeframe in which hypemachine seems once again not to be picking up new blog posts (the newest post on the front page is 4 hours old) makes it LOOK like you guys are focusing your energy on novelty to the detriment of stability. I'm sure that's not the case, but timing matters, you know?
