Can someone tell me why Pretty Much Amazing (PMA) was removed from indexing? They seemed to be one of the most popular blogs on Hype Machine and I only just noticed yesterday that they were gone. Looking at PMA shows nothing (although Luis does not link to Hype Machine, which is a sign of some kind of falling out — with all the other links he has, the absence of Hypem is very stark). Did Pretty Much Amazing have anything to do with these false promoted bands/remixes? I see they posted The Pragmatic, but so did other blogs. Likewise Andre Anjos. What’s the story? There’s nothing on Elbo.ws music forums either mentioning this. So odd…anyone?

Hype Machine can do whatever the fuck they want. It’s their website. You know how many people used to hate pitchfork media or buddyhead for doing the same thing? Let’s just worry about the music. The good stuff will eventually rise to the surface.

I think the extra measures are fine because voting many times from the same computers(IP) and same password is completly suspect …

but for that reason is not just the band damaged, is the blog.

In my case I post a song a some guy from the band made 21 vote for them song, for this reason my blog is no longer tracked…

I thing you measures are right but are gonna be some way to be able the track in the blog?

I like my Hype Machine and it’s helped me discover so many great artists. And yes, that does include We Plants Are Happy Plants…it’s just a song everyone loves. And the fact that Death to the Throne cheated ist just astonishing. Really talented guy actually! Quit cheating, we love you anyway.
