I’ve been a BlackBerry user for 7 years, so it was naturally exciting when BlackBerry showed interest in working with us on a native Hype Machine app for their new line of phones. With their support and the team at Smoke Labs, we were able to make this app a reality!
The first release of the app is now out, with more updates on the way to make stumbling into great music as much fun as it is on the web. The team at CrackBerry also got excited about the release and has more to say there.
If you are wielding a BlackBerry Q5, Q10 or Z10 phones, check out the app!
I discovered you guys thanks to CrackBerry and the BlackBerry 10 app. The app is very well done, in fact I wish I could use it at work but sadly no wifi, so only at home. But thanks to the app at least I know about you guys now! Thanks đ

And when are you planning to release a decent app for Android? The UberHype app is barely functional compared to the iPhone app.

This is fantastic… and makes me look forward to commuting and working. Can’t express how much I love the app, it might be the best I have on my Z10.

@Mats,
Try the Hype! app for Android. I used to have an Android phone and was also very disappointed with the UberHype app. The Hype! app has a much better interface, in my opinion.

Yea, the android version of the Hype Machine app is horrible, especially compared to the Iphone version. And to think you have to pay $4 for an app that can’t play songs seamlessly is outrageous. It keeps stopping after playing a song, and can’t seem to play the next song without having to manually hit next.

Hey guys,
Can’t tell you how much I love your app for BB10! Using it daily, discovered so many great tracks thanks to you. Please don’t stop supporting it for BlackBerry!
Cheers, Akis.

Akis, unfortunately we’ve discontinued the app due to very limited usage on that platform.
