I never liked reading CD reviews. Most often, they simply fail to capture the essence of a record but instead choose to spew seemingly relevant facts and obscure references. In other words, waste of time.
75 or Less does CD reviews in the way they were meant to be. They restrict their authors to using only 75 words when describing a record (words with 2 letters or fewer do not count) keeping the reviews short and low in bs content.
Concise writing steals the day. See for yourself.
When it comes to straight-up album reviews, this site is the best. Totally no-nonsense, trustworthy, “should I buy the album or not?” resource. Although I do still enjoy the sprawling territory and meandering style of Pitchfork (where you’re never really sure where the review is going until you finish reading it, and then can still be somehow left out on a limb) from time to time.

I’ve seen the site mentioned several times but never dared to look until now, instant favorite considering I rarely read full reviews. Only thing I’d like to see added would be the highlight track from each disc, just so I wont go and download the worst track of the album youknow…
hey anthony you need to update the blog list with link data, there’s seems to be a bug around it and well it hasn’t been updated since Wednesday, December 31st, 1969 at 6:00 PM CT. (?)

I had visited that site a while back, but had forgotten about it. Thanks for the update!
