To everyone currently playing with the Hype Machine Beta:
Thank you for your feedback and thoughts!
Not all of the messages have yet been answered, but all have been read, and fixes for many things already applied.
This has been really helpful, thanks guys!

I used to like it when I could search for an artist then stream all of their tracks. I can’t do that anymore in Beta and I don’t like it.

I second Daniel’s comment. Love the new interface look and feel; being able to quickly play songs on the page to see if I like them; being able to favorite songs, searches, and blogs for my profile; and Twitter is damn nice too. But definitely miss the Flash player and playing an entire search result.
Any way to at least add the repeat song function back into the search page results, next to the play and stop buttons perhaps, so that you at least listen continuously to one song you really like. Thanks.

Hey guys: On the Beta site, when you start playing one track, and it finishes, it automatically starts playing the next track. Maybe this isn’t immediately obvious, but this does answer your request I think 🙂

Taylor, thanks for the reply. Yup, noticed the continuous play function.
Love the dashboard, especially seeing what other people have heard or loved that also matches my favorited content. And saw Fred Wilson gave you guys some props on his blog, congrats.

hmm, didn’t know about the auto play next feature. It still doesn’t replace that flash player in my mind tho.
– it can sit in the corner of your screen and you don’t need to bring up the full-page site if you want to change tracks.
what if you had a search function ON THE FLASH PLAYER? then you could just have that little guy in the corner and you totally wouldn’t need to do anything else.
that would be. a-maze-ing

i was wondering if anyone else misses the ability to play songs on their own media player, it would be really useful for me because my computer has issues with playing things on the actual website (weird i know)
does anyone else miss this?

Mis the old player which played tracks while scrolling thru the next pages. Big down fall! I’m also just looking for tracks of interest so the new format of fewer entries and more info about the blog takes longer to scroll thru the pages. Another big down fall! Seems to me it’s now more of a hassle and the simplicity has been lost.

yeah. i don’t liek th enew hype machine at all. tracks don’t seem to play and i can’t look at all the songs available. also to hard to hightlight an dmake a list of tracks that i want. Change it back or make it easier to listen to tunes.

The new Hype Machine is horrible. I can’t imagine I’ll continue to use it. About a third of the songs fit on a page and I’m constantly moving through the pages. They took something that was user-friendly and made it one of the most irritating sites on the net. What a mistake. I don’t care about the blog posts these idiots are writing. Go back to the old format.
