We make the site to keep everyone finding something new, and today we are testing a new revision to the Latest front page.
Starting now, the front page (also accessible as “Latest“) will only show the most recently posted tracks that have never been blogged about before. Â This means that they are as fresh and new as possible, which is what the Latest page is all about.
You can still see the more complete view that includes reposted tracks by clicking “Filter->All Songs”.
Excellent idea!

Hey guys, this sounds really awesome. What is with all the play buttons disappearing though?

Hank – some of the tracks on the site stop being playable when they are no longer on blogs. If you have more questions, write to http://hypem.com/contact

Very cool! Should really help bring out the hidden gems.

I think that’s a great idea – it’ll really help people find new music that is really new!
Good for blogs like mine that try and find unsigned bands too!
Awesome.

What a fresh idea! 😉
What if a blog posts, let’s say two tracks, one that is a repost and one that is not. Will the one that’s not still be on the fresh list?

Ey guys I can’t subscribe cause it my browsers (mozilla and IE) blocks the sign-up dialog box.!! It says that this box has no authorized certificate..!!
In other things you guy do a great job with this page..!! congrats..!! keep it up..!!

The latest tweak, which allows you only ~2 pages of recent tracks, stinks. As does the randomized blog directory, which has been around a while. If you’re trying to make it hard for anyone to find out what music blogs have been doing in general in any time frame beyond a couple of hours, you are succeeding.

It loads the subsequent pages for you, so just keep scrolling!

It loads ONE subsequent page in IE8. I’ll try FF, but I can’t always use FF.

Awesome guys! I love the hat tip to NIN’s Pretty Hate Machine album.
October 20, 2011 1:40 pm
I, on the other hand, hate looking at a NIN tribute while I’m on the site. Any chance of getting the old banner back? Or just getting rid of this one?

Love it! also the negative version you put up last friday was cool, it’ll be nice to have a negative switch to change css :P… oh BTW, the header of the blog overlaps with the logo, I thought you should know.
I’d love to work with you guys.
Anyways, keep up the good work! I love this site!
Greetings from Mexico

Not sure it’s working too well, I’m getting posts from July 2010…?

What happened to the ‘sort by’ buttons? Specifically referring to sort by most favorites when listening to different genres.

Luz it!! Great app

Big big fail, I’m sorry. I loved that I could log in to the new site and get my feeds. Now my world has been turned upside down and I don’t like it. It’s a great idea but why can’t I log in on my iPhone anymore!?!?
