Machine Shop: Hype Machine Team Blog

The Hype Machine welcomes SBTRKT to NYC

SBTRKT is one of the most exciting artists to come out of London’s effervescent “bass music” scene over the past year. Following the release of his wicked debut album (which premiered right here on The Hype Machine), SBTRKT brings his LDN vibes to NYC this week.

Along with our friends at TREEHOUSE, we’re stoked to co-host a special SBTRKT after-show party on Saturday in Brooklyn. Join the Hype Machine team for a fun hang and a big set behind the decks from the man himself.

Free with RSVP here.

Seems like it’s taking us longer and longer to recover from Austin’s week of music and mayhem every year. We’re finally ready to share some beautiful photos and videos with you now, though!

Clock Opera opened our After-Hours showcase at the Purevolume House around midnight, and the party would keep going well into the early morning.

Jonquils brought their top brass:
and played a cover of The xx’s “Infinity”.

Jamie Woon‘s soulful crooning continued to set the after-hours mood.

And perhaps no one was more surprised than Mount Kimbie themselves when Shwayze jumped on stage with them for an impromptu collaboration! Check the last video here to see this real-time remix.

Thanks for coming and partying!
